1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the AML Compass platform ("Platform", "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users, including consultants, registered account holders, and demo participants.

2. Description of Service

AML Compass is a structured assessment tool designed to assist UAE-based AML compliance consultants in conducting Anti-Money Laundering risk assessments for Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs), with a primary focus on real estate firms. The Platform enables consultants to:

• Run structured 29-question AML assessments
• Generate risk scores and readiness indicators in real time
• Produce professional 6-page PDF reports referencing UAE regulatory standards
• Maintain a history of past assessments

4. Eligibility & Permitted Use

Access to the Platform is restricted to professional AML compliance consultants operating in or in relation to the UAE. By registering, you confirm that:

• You are using the Platform in a professional capacity as an AML compliance consultant
• You will use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable UAE laws
• You will not use assessment outputs in any misleading or deceptive manner
• You will not attempt to resell, sublicense, or commercialise access to the Platform itself

AML Compass reserves the right to approve or reject registrations at its sole discretion and to terminate access for any user who violates these Terms.

5. Account Registration & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share account access with any other person. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility.

You agree to notify AML Compass immediately at support@amlcompass.ae if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, software, questions, scoring logic, report templates, and other materials on the Platform are the exclusive property of AML Compass and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without prior written consent.

7. Consultant Responsibility for Client Data

When you use the Platform to conduct assessments, you may input information about your clients ("Client Data"). You are solely responsible for:

• Obtaining any necessary consent from your clients before inputting their information
• Ensuring that your collection and use of Client Data complies with applicable data protection laws
• The accuracy of the information you input
• How you use, share, or present assessment outputs to your clients

AML Compass processes Client Data on your behalf as a data processor. We do not use your Client Data for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AML Compass and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:

• Regulatory fines, penalties, or sanctions imposed on you or your clients
• Failed or unsatisfactory compliance inspections
• Business losses arising from reliance on Platform outputs
• Indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages of any kind
• Inaccuracy or incompleteness of assessment results

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Your use of the Platform is at your own risk.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AML Compass and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or any advice or services you provide to third parties based on Platform outputs.

10. Subscriptions & Payment

Access to the Platform is subject to a paid subscription. Subscription fees are charged monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorise AML Compass to charge the applicable fees to your nominated payment method on a recurring basis.

All payments are final and non-refundable in accordance with our Refund Policy.

11. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund for any period already charged.

AML Compass reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or that your use of the Platform poses a risk to other users or to the integrity of the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

AML Compass may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Arab Emirates.
